Project99 trains technical support teams to investigate and solve harder problems.
The idea came out of over seven years in WPML support, three of them leading a team. Support engineers often learn the hardest parts of the job by accident: how to read a log, isolate a conflict, reproduce something a customer cannot clearly describe, form a useful hypothesis, and say “I do not know yet” without losing the customer’s confidence.
These skills matter even more as AI handles more routine support. The cases left for people are increasingly the ones that need investigation, judgement, and technical depth.
Project99 turns those skills into structured training.
Who it is for
Support teams at plugin, theme, SaaS and other software companies. Support leads who want their teams to become effective faster than trial and error allows. Companies onboarding new technical support engineers who need a stronger foundation from the start.
How it works
Companies can book workshops, structured onboarding programmes, and custom training for their support teams. Training focuses on practical investigation skills using realistic support cases rather than memorising answers.
Project99 also publishes free resources for individual support engineers. These cover selected fundamentals such as logs, Linux and the shell, browser DevTools, caching, reproduction, isolation, and working effectively with AI.
The free material makes the methodology accessible. Corporate training takes it further through structured programmes, practical exercises, feedback, and training adapted to the needs of a team.
