Technical consulting
WordPress Technical Consulting.
Sometimes you don’t need another developer. You need someone to figure out what should happen next.
Complex WordPress projects often reach a point where the problem is no longer simply implementing another feature.
There may be competing technical approaches, an inherited architecture, recurring production problems, uncertain dependencies or a system that nobody wants to change without understanding the consequences.
I provide independent technical consulting for businesses and agencies working with complex WordPress environments.
60 minutes
EUR 150
One concrete question answered, with written notes afterwards. Architecture, a multilingual setup before you build, a quote you want checked.
First 30 minutes: free. One hour on a concrete question: EUR 150.
Ongoing: technical partner, from EUR 750 / month, five reserved hours, a named engineer.
Where I can help
- Technical investigation and second opinions
- Architecture and implementation decisions
- Complex debugging strategies
- Existing and inherited WordPress systems
- Plugin and integration problems
- WooCommerce and multilingual architectures
- Multilingual URL structure and domain strategy
- Multilingual multisite and domain mapping
- Custom fields and complex content structures
- Update and modernization planning
- Technical risk assessment
- Difficult issues spanning multiple components
Two decisions are worth an hour before anyone writes code: how languages map to URLs, as directories, subdomains or separate domains, and whether the site should be a multisite at all. Both are expensive to reverse once content exists. Multilingual multisite with domain mapping, where sunrise.php, the language setup and the site key all have to agree, is the case where getting it wrong costs the most.
A second pair of eyes
Sometimes a development team is perfectly capable of implementing the solution but needs someone outside the project to investigate the problem or challenge the current assumptions.
I can work alongside your developers or agency to analyze the situation, test hypotheses and help determine the next technical step.
Investigation without unnecessary rebuilding
Not every difficult WordPress problem requires a rebuild, migration or new technology.
My approach starts with understanding what you already have, what is actually causing problems and what outcome the business needs.
Then we can decide whether the right answer is a small fix, a larger technical change or leaving something exactly as it is.
Have a WordPress problem that’s difficult to define?
That’s fine. You don’t need to arrive with a diagnosis.
Tell me what is happening, what you’re trying to achieve and where your team is currently stuck.
